Matrix Repatterning™ is a process of detecting and releasing significant tension patterns within the tissues of the body.

These patterns are created primarily by forceful injuries to our body structure, or from scar tissue resulting from surgery or injury. Excessive force, beyond a certain threshold, may potentially be absorbed by the matrix. When force is transmitted through the tissues and encounters a dense surrounding material such as organs or bone, the energy may become trapped locally. Due to the network of connective support tissue throughout the body, one area of strain can transmit strain to multiple sites. This can manifest as repetitive irritation of joints, chronic muscle tension, dysfunction of organs or simply local tenderness on the surface of the body structure.

We have a lifetime of falls. Our body compensates for some injuries, but full healing does not always occur.

Over time, we can find that pain surfaces seemingly from nowhere, such as bending down to tie a shoe. This reaction happens because the body’s ability to compensate has reached its limit – there is too much imbalance. The body signals pain or dysfunction to let us know something is wrong…in a way, that’s a good thing!

When you investigate the problem, many standard diagnostic tests are lookingfor things such as fractures, ruptures or disease processes such as tumors or obvious tissue abnormalities. However, changes in fascia or the body’s connective tissue, and disturbance in the matrix, which is the deeper structure of tissue, are often overlooked.

How often has this happened to you? You go for testing and all the results come back negative. Or your pain medication appears not to work and your condition gets worse.

Symptoms, especially in chronic conditions, are often the result of the compensatory tensions and stresses created within the body in response to a primary site of tissue injury. The primary lesion is often asymptomatic after the acute phase, as the brain adapts to the continuing background stimulation.

For example, this occurs with the fracture of a bone in the leg. Shortly after the cast is applied there is a significant reduction of pain in the immobilized area. Within a few days however, the person begins to experience pain and discomfort in other areas, such as the knee, hip, lower back or neck, as these structures attempt to compensate for the loss of mobility originating in the immobilized limb. The resulting altered range of motion creates patterns of strain in the secondary sites, resulting in painful movement and inflammation. As many clinicians have realized, diagnosis and treatment based on the area of symptoms is often frustrating and fruitless since it acts only on the peripheral effects of the primary condition.

Simply put, the body is in a state of imbalance.

Joints, muscles and ligaments are designed to give way when they are strained. They may be directly injured or become painful as they compensate for a restriction in a deeper, denser structure.

Denser structures, like internal organs and bones, absorb much more energy from impact than do the less dense body structures. This energy input can create strain either within these bony or organ tissues, or cause strain to the connective tissue that surrounds them. These strain patterns can cause a complex, interconnecting network of abnormal tension leading to many painful and imbalanced conditions of the body (see below).

Distortion in the body can lead to changes in the efficiency of various physiological processes, and may contribute to some of the following conditions:

headaches and migraines
digestive complaints (including heart burn)
fibromyalgia
unstable joints (too much movement) or restricted joint movement
tinnitus (ear noise)
sleep problems
organ dysfunction (i.e. loss of bladder control)

Matrix Repatterning™ is a revolutionary new way of understanding the body, developed by Dr. George Roth. It is a comprehensive system based on sound scientific principles, which can restore optimum function and help alleviate many painful conditions and health problems associated with structural imbalance.

Your assessment includes:

Orthopaedic testing:

range of motion
neurological tests
muscle strength/tone
joint restrictions

Objective and specific Matrix Repatterning™ testing:

determines where primary sources of strain exist in the structure
distinguishes areas of secondary compensation or other areas affected by the imbalance

Treatments are very gentle and involve the use of induction which is precise localized pressure, or recoil, a gentle springing motion to release restrictions. The result of such treatment is a global reorganization and postural stabilization. Other forms of therapy, such as myofascial release, may be incorporated to support the healing process or to release scar tissue.

Matrix Repatterning™ represents a significant breakthrough in the rehabilitation of structural disorders. It addresses the body at a fundamental, molecular level of dysfunction, which is often the source of persisting health problems.

This revolutionary approach can relieve many conditions and help restore optimal, pain-free function.
